7/1/13 - HITE-CT and Rhode Island Quality Institute announce partnership  to promote interstate Direct communication between healthcare providers.  Learn about free membership to Southern New England Trust Community (SNETC) - a network of verified providers with a need to exchange patients' protected health information.

 

3/5/13 - Virtual Forum for EPs April - May 2013: CT Medicaid Electronic Health Record Program. This virtual forum will focus on Meaningful Use and the changes that have been made to the MAPIR system for Program Year 2013.

 

3/5/13 -Virtual Forum for Providers April - May 3013: CT Medicaid Electronic Health Record Incentive Program. This virtual form focused on AIU attestation for the first payment year in the MAPIR system.

The Health Information Technology Exchange of Connecticut (HITE-CT) is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

Administrative Project Officer(APO) - Position has been filled. will support the CEO in the day-to-day operations of the growing organization. The APO will help establish and perform required office functions included Human Resources, Finance (including Accounting), Procurement, Information Technology including website administration and document management, and Operations. Program Development Officer (PDO) - will drive health information exchange adoption by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and establishing business relationships. The PDO will develop innovative approaches to market HIE by communicating the health and business value; facilitate contract signing and on-going customer relations; and educate providers and consumers (patients) through modern social media, seminars, educational marketing, and outreach. Customer Support Manager - will lead the growing organization’s customer support and client management activities related to health information exchange and will be the primary point of contact for problem resolution. Responsibilities include receiving and answering questions from patients, providers, and other stakeholders; working with vendors on customer issues, trouble reports, and inquiries, and preparing and distributing materials, briefings, and brochures. 5/22/2012 – APPLY NOW TO THE HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TRAINING PROGRAM – CAPITAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Applications are now being accepted for the Health Information Technology training program at Capital Community College. For seven months, students are immersed in learning about this emerging and growing field in the healthcare industry. The program addresses six workforce roles: practice workflow and information management redesign specialists; clinician/practitioner consultants; technical/software support staff; implementation manager; implementation support specialist; and trainer. Eligible students will have a minimum of a two-year degree and experience either in healthcare or IT. Thanks to a grant from the Office of National Coordinator, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the cost is only $425. Deadline for applications is Tuesday, May 29th.

12/2/2011 - Pilot Site Call for Participation

The HITE-CT is seeking healthcare provider organizations to lead in early deployment of the Health Information Exchange (HIE). These early deployment sites will contribute to the development and refinement of HITE-CT implementation options, configurations, and processes. We are looking for pilot participants from a variety of provider sizes (hospitals, large group practices, small group practices). Proposals should be submitted by December 21, 2011. 10/4/2011 – Connecticut HIE and HIT Summit 2011

On October 20, 2011 from 8:30 to 6:00 PM, DPH, HITE-CT, eHealthConnecticut, Capital Community College, DSS, and UCONN Health Center is co-sponsoring the Connecticut HIE and HIT Summit entitled, Connecting Connecticut: EHRs, Meaningful Use and Health Information Exchange. Summit 2011 is an educational conference for physicians, nurses and other clinicians, practice managers, quality improvement professionals, hospital CIOs and IT staff, payers and anyone else interested in electronic health records systems and health information technology. 04/14/2011 – Request for Proposals for HIE System Services - RFP is closed.

The Connecticut Department of Information Technology has issued RFP# HITE-CT2001 seeking proposals for the Health Information Technology Exchange of Connecticut. The RFP can be found at:

03/17/2011 - Pre-Solicitation Notice for HITE-CT

This notice is for informational purposes only. This acquisition will be funded by the State of Connecticut – Health Information Technology Exchange (HITE-CT) as part of the ONC State Health Information Exchange (State HIE) cooperative agreement program. Availability of Solicitation: HITE-CT intends to post the solicitation on the State Contracting Portal which can be accessed at the following link on or about April 1, 2011. :

Proposals will be due no later than forty-five (45) days after the solicitation is posted. Meaningful use exchanges are expected to be operational in August 2011.
